In 2008, Steve Roberts of Roberts Kart Shop set out to design a new 4-cycle sprint chassis that would raise the bar for quality and repeatable on-track performance. Prototypes hit the local tracks in late 2008, quickly proving themselves with numerous victories. Development and refinement continued in 2009 as the karts began proving themselves in regional action. In 2010 the Razor Chassis earned it’s first national victory at Round 1 of WKA’s Gold Cup Series at Carolina Motorsports Park. The wins keep coming on the local, regional, and national level. About Our Founder
Steve Roberts began racing karts at the age of 5, racing asphalt sprint events throughout the southeast and numerous national events, as well. Fast forward over 25 years, and Steve is still racing karts on the local and national level. Steve began his career behind the counter and in the engine room in 1988 at Conkle’s Karts and Parts. In 1994, Steve and his wife Stacy purchased Conkle’s, changing the name to Roberts Kart Shop. Roberts Kart Shop is a true family owned and operated business with family values and ethics. With over 20 years of experience in kart tuning, Roberts Kart Shop has the chassis, knowledge, and product line to put you in front of the pack.
